I finished up this quilt yesterday -- I had made the top back in the Spring, but hadn't finished it until now. It is just tied. Fabrics are "Sent With Love" fabrics from Moda. (The same fabrics as my little bitty hexagons that I am working on.) I love the scrappy binding on this, I used jelly roll strips that were left-over from the blocks... :o) A friend found out her cousin has inoperable cancer, so this quilt will be going to her... I hope she knows it was "Sent With Love"... :o)
What a nice cheery quilt. Cancer is such a scourge these days. It's so kind of you to give this to your friend's cousin. I haven't been around the blogs the last while. I gotta tell you that Emma's Legacy quilt is gorgeous! Hope David is feeling better.
So vibrant and cheery! I have several 'just tied' quilts that my ancestors made, and I treasure them just as much as the ones with the perfect quilting stitches. I love the colors!
You're a kind and generous person, Angela. I'm sure your generosity will be appreciated, and hugging that quilt will help through some of the tough times. The colors and design are lovely.
I am a stay-at-home mom to 14-year-old triplets and a 5-year-old little boy. Married to a wonderful man for 7 years! This blog is all about the threads of my life - my family, my quilts, my thoughts...
