Dear Jane blocks from Beatrice

My dear friend, Beatrice from A Needle In A Haystack, offered to make a few of my pink Dear Jane blocks for me, to put into my quilt! Oh my! They are beautiful! Her applique is perfect! These blocks are going to make my pink quilt SO MUCH more special!

The blocks are:
A-6 Uncle Homer, B-2 Sweet Tater Pie, F-13 Tour De France
G-8 Justin's Comet, H-13 Farm Fields, I-2 Kaye's Courtyard
K-7 Rose of Sharing, L-4 St. George's Cross, M-5 Mother's Point

Thank you, Beatrice, from the bottom of my heart!

If you want to see more of my Dear Jane blocks, come visit my Dear Jane - times two! blog! (Yes, I am making TWO Dear Janes, one pink, one 1800s repros in red and blue!) Thanks for stopping by!

cardinals

David took this picture of a cardinal on our fence post earlier this week. Cardinals are the State Bird of Illinois. I absolutely love cardinals... To me, they are majestic...
And now to cardinals on fabric... :o) This is the *Holidays At Home* BOM, block 2. The backing came this month too, and it is the same cardinal fabric as the center of these blocks! :o)

Thanks for looking! Hope everyone is having a good week! :o)

pillows

I worked on two more pillows this week. This one was another one of those mini Honey Buns, and then I added some rows of vintage trims.

And this one is from a charm pack that I had. The fabrics are plaid and a textured type woven... I think it makes a nice effect, without being too flashy... :o)

I love them both, but put them up for sale at our Country Scrap Quilts site... :o) Hope you all are having a good week!

day planners, Mr. Fix It and Mr. Fix It Jr.

I didn't get too much done this week, Jimmy has ear infections in both ears, which makes for sleepless nights and long days for both of us... :o(

But I did get some of these day planners stitched, and up for sale on our Country Scraps Quilt site. I love how they tie closed, so it doesn't get all messed up in your purse! :o) If you want to take a peek at them, you can go HERE. :o)

The stereo thing-y stopped working this week, so here is Mr. Fix It and Mr. Fix It Jr., checking it out... (The other Mr. Fix It was at school!) Hopefully they will find the problem soon, so we don't have to buy a new one! :o)

Have a great weekend!

May Schnibbles, PIF, etc... :o)

I finished my May Schnibbles this week! This month was *choose your own Schnibbles pattern*, so I chose the Spin City pattern, from the new Schnibbles Times Two book! This was made from stash fabrics (thanks to Carol, again!) and I am just thrilled with the way it turned out!

Jimmy wanted to be in the Schnibbles pic, so instead I took one of him and Daddy... :o) Two of my three handsome men... :o) David was at school... :o)

I am still in need of one more friend to PIF with! I also still need Shirley of Grammy and Papi's Attic to email me at janda082803 *@* yahoo.com, so I can get your mailing address, etc. You can click on the PIF heart below to find out details! Come join in the fun!

And last but not least, I have been busy with my Dear Jane blocks... If you haven't seen them, I hope you will come visit my DJ blog! Just click on the little logo below! :o)
Have a nice weekend! Happy Mother's Day!

PIF and pillow...

I didn't get too much done over this weekend, but I did make this little pillow! It is made using a mini Honey Bun that Carol at Cornfield Quilter gave me! (Thanks Carol!) This is a 15" pillow, so I just about used the whole honey bun! :o) And then when I got the top made, I dug thru my ribbon/laces and found some that coordinated, and hand-stitched them down along some of the seams. (There are 5 rows of ribbon/laces - you might have to enlarge the pic.) It was a fun, quick project, and something different than I usually make... I *LOVE* it!

Also, thanks to the gals that have signed up for my Pay It Forward! I have two gals so far! Speaking of that, Shirley of Grammy and Papi's Attic, can you email me (janda082803 *at* yahoo.com), your comments are set for *no reply*, so I couldn't get back to you on the details of the PIF! So, I still need one more taker! If you are curious about what Pay It Forward is all about, check out my blog post HERE. It is really is fun and easy!
