It's been pretty hectic around here lately... Jim was off work for 3 weeks, with sinus surgery. And the kids were off last week for Spring Break... :o)
I started knitting on this shawl this afternoon. It's "reclaimed" sweater yarn that I found on Etsy. LOVE it! I think it will be for my mom. She broke her shoulder last fall and I was thinking this would be nice to "throw over her shoulders" rather than trying to put on a jacket... While I'm knitting, I'm trying to decide whether she would want fringe on it or not... :o)
Been busy with a different sort of project lately.... Knitting socks! :o) Anna's pair is done, it's the pink and purple pair. I made one "test sock" because all I've done is knitted a "regular" scarf before, and then these socks of Anna's are my very first pair! :o) Not bad, if I do say so myself! :o)
And this is the first sock for Lizzie - gonna start on sock #2 today... :o)

I finished knitting this scarf this week. The yarn ball was from the Etsy shop of Misfit Yarn. It is so fun to work with this yarn! Ssshhh! I have another one made like this in pinks, for Anna, and one in oranges, for Elizabeth, for Christmas... :o) But this one is mine! The girls ooh-ed and aah-ed over it the whole time I made it! Boy, will they be surprised! :o)
And I thought I would show (again, for those that have known me for awhile) my desk. I put the little hexagon baby quilt, as a table topper, under the lamp! :o) The desk was my dads. The lamp was his too. (In the same spot!) And the little thermostat, to the right of the lamp, belonged to my Grandfather. He passed away when I was less than one year old. (Just like Jimmy and his Grandpa.)

I have been teaching myself to knit, and just finished my first scarf! If I make another one, I wont make it quite as wide. It was 39 stitches across. Knit 2, Purl 2 across, then Purl 1 for the last stitch. Made a nice ribbed look. I am quite pleased with my first project! :o) The yarn was yummy - it is called Berry Burst. I used three skeins of the yarn for the length. (They were those small skeins.) I especially love any variegated yarn! 
And because any time you have the camera out, Jimmy thinks you are gonna take a pic of him, here is Jimmy this morning... *Demolition Expert* fits him perfectly! :o)
