patriotic baby bunting quilt

Back in December, I made a Baby Bunting quilt for a customer, and I really liked it and wanted to make myself one... :o) But this one is going in my shop. :o) Perfect for a summer baby, or for Patriotic decorating... :o)

A Treasure!

I got my Little Jane quilt back from Carol yesterday! Isn't is just amazing! Click on the picture to see it bigger! Carol does such beautiful work! The kids and I sat here last night, going from block to block, admiring the different quilting on each one!

 

With applique blocks from Beatrice, and the quilting from Carol, this quilt will always be a treasure to me!

another bear :o)

Introducing "Corazon", my new bear! He was made from a kit from the "The Old Pincushion" Etsy shop. (Same as all my other bears!) He measures about 15" tall.

I named him "Corazon" for "heart", because he was all hand-pieced while waiting during all of Jim's heart tests... :o)

Here is Corazon, with Amelia and Chopper, to show the size differences... I love them all... :o)

quilt tops... :o)

I have had these two wolf fabrics for ages (I think 5+ years?!), put away to make a quilt for Jim and finally decided to get something put together... Easier said than done, seeing as Jim works 2nd shift, so he's home most of the day when the kids are at school. (prime sewing time!) I just did a very, very simple layout, to highlight the fabrics... :o) I'm hoping I can convince Carol to quilt it for me -- maybe for his birthday in October?! (Please!!) 

I also put together this really simple baby quilt top. I had some jelly roll strips, and just cut them in "bricks" and put it together today. I hope to do some simple hand-quilting on it and get it put up in my shop...

a couple more things for the shop... :o)

This rag quilt is made from a Kashmir IV (Moda) FQ pack that I've had for ages. I love the pastels, they remind me of Easter eggs!

I also made another coin purse - these seem to be pretty popular! :o) I need to order more frames and get a few more made... :o)
